Atty Walter L. Abela Jr.
ACPACI National President Atty Walter L. Abela Jr. is the Tax & Corporate Services Leader of Deloitte Philippines.
He has over 20 years of professional experience in rendering tax and corporate services. He also heads the firm’s M&A Group and Japanese Services Group.
He was cited by the International Tax Review in 2021, 2017 and 2016 as one of the leading Philippine consultants in handling tax controversy and disputes.

PRESENTATION OF LEADERSHIP AWARD
Atty Walter L. Abela, Jr, was presented with the Leadership Award by 2022 National President Mr Aphat Martinez and Executive Director Ms Wennie Cuico for steering productively well ACPACI to the realization of its goals for the 2020 and 2021 under the banner theme "Future Fluent CPAs: Leading Through Continuous Innovation" in 2020, and "Reimagine and Recover. Rise in the Next Normal" in 2021, thus maintaining the organization's premier position in the business and industry.
Induction Ceremonies
President Walter and the rest of the members of the 2020 ACPACI Board and Officers were formally inducted into office by ACPACI Executive Director Winnie Cuico last January 24, 2020 at Sarika Ballroom, Dusit Thani Manila.
Guests of honor include the Chairman of Professional Regulation Commission Hon. Teofilo Pilando, CEO & Managing Partner of NavarroAmper & Co. - Deloitte Philippines Atty. Fredieric B. Landicho, National President of Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants Ms. Evelyn Corpus, PICPA MMR Chairperson Mr Aphat C. Martinez, and incoming ACPAPP President Ms Anita Canete Rodriguez.

37th Annual Convention
As mentioned in my message in the Opening Session of our convention, I cannot imagine that it’s been almost two years now of having socially distanced activities. It is really a challenging period to an organization like ACPACI on how to maintain our commitment, especially in dispensing our duty.
1st General Membership Meeting
To Board of Accountancy Chair, Honorable Dr. Noe Quiañola who was our distinguished speaker in the morning session; to Board Members, Chapter Presidents, Past Presidents, officers and members of ACPACI; to our distinguished speaker Mr. Manuel De Vera, fellow CPAs, colleagues and friends – a very pleasant afternoon to all and welcome to ACPACI’s 1st General Membership Meeting.
