At this juncture, let me proceed with the presentation of presidential awards to some very important persons. For the past two years, ACPACI, true to its objectives, had assisted its members in our sector for their professional developments and enhancements. This will not succeed without the dedication and guidance of certain individuals. In this momentous event, we want to recognize these individuals for their selfless dedication and valuable contribution through a token of appreciation that we will be presented to them. Actually, I have with me this sample token which will be given to our recipients and will be sent to their offices or (home) address.


But let me first discuss what this token is all about. The tokens were manually handcrafted in a solid mahogany wood by seasoned carvers of Paete in Laguna. They were the ones commissioned to help with the objective to sustain the livelihood of our fellow Filipinos who are in the countryside during this pandemic. The award shows the ACPACI logo on its face and on its face there is a clock and at the background is a golden tree of life . So like humans, all trees begin in the same way as it grow. Tree develops a beauty that is unique on it own very way. Just as the trees' branches strengthen and grow upwards, seemingly trying to reach the sky to widen our horizons, to keep in pace with global developments, seeking for greater knowledge, more challenges and wisdom, as we advance through life. As the trees age, it defy nature's forces just like us. Humans, with our capability to overcome crisis that put our skills down, the trials that challenge our faith, and thoughts that weaken our soul. All of these we are able to withstand because we believe we can, we believe we are strong, we believe we will survive. Because we believe there is God and he is with us, and the God who give us all the reason to live and to love. And there is also a clock in this token, cast on its face. We can all agree that during these years, TIKTOK dominated internet and social media in lifting up our spirit and serves as a manner of entertainment and communication during the lockdowns and quarantine. Well actually, it is more than that. The clock reminds the time, the days, the months and years. and the past, and yes, we weathered the test of challenges of time. Let me take this opportunity to thank my wife, Perlie, a fellow ACPACIAN, for helping me in designing this handcrafted token.
