PHILIPPINE QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORK - CAREER PROGRESSION AND SPECIALIZATION PRORAM (PQF-CPSP)

The Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy (PRBOA), Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), and PICPA National Professional Development Committee, in partnership with PICPA Metro Manila Geographical Area Office, PICPA Metro Manila Region, PICPA Western Metro Manila Chapter (WMMC), and sectoral organizations National Association of CPAs in Education (nACPAE), Association of CPAs in Commerce and Industry (ACPACI), Government Association of CPAs (GACPA), and Association of CPAs in Public Practice (ACPAPP) conducted the four-day summit on Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF) last August and September 2021 via Zoom.
The PQF describes the levels of educational qualifications and sets the standards for qualification outcomes. It is a quality assured national system for the development, recognition and award of qualifications based on standards of knowledge, skills and values acquired in different ways and methods by learners and workers of the country (RA 10968 – PQF Act).
Gerard B. Sanvictores, Consuelo O. Cadelina, Juan Carlos B. Robles, and Michael C. Gallego were the resource speakers with Alejandro A. Palacio as moderator. Chair Aldrin M. Cerrado delivered the welcome remarks and Atty. Florence A Tangente gave a message in the morning session while Florenz C. Tugas and Atty. Walter L. Abela Jr. gave messages in the afternoon. Director Corazon S. Rey delivered the closing remarks. Over 550 CPAs from all over the country attended the PQF Summit: Commerce and Industry Practice.
