Have you heard of the latest news affecting our profession? The Philippine Regulatory Board of Accountancy (PRB-ACC) has drafted the guidelines for the creation of a Career Progression and Specialization Program (CPSP) for the Accountancy Profession, consistent with the provisions of Republic Act (RA) No. 10968 otherwise known as the Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF) Act.
One of the objectives of the PQF Act is to align domestic qualification standards with the international qualifications framework thereby enhancing recognition of the value and comparability of Philippine qualifications and supporting the mobility of Filipino students, workers and professionals.
The PQF-CPSP provides a standard for the recognition of certificates and licenses that accountants may move and progress through. It shows pathways and equivalences to help them make informed choices in education and employment growth. As such the framework promotes mobility, encourages lifelong learning and builds the workforce confidence.
Adopting a well-developed qualifications framework presents several benefits to learners, academe, workers, professionals, employers, industry and government.
Be in the know. Join us in the First General Membership Meeting on March 24,2022, from 1:30 to 5:00 pm to learn more about the issues and challenges of PQF-CPSP Implementation in the Commerce and Industry sector.
