Hon. Noe Quinanola, CPA, PhD, Chairman of PRC Board of Accountancy, discussed the Proposed Accountancy Law: Effect on the Private Sector Workforce

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

DR. NOE G. QUIÑANOLA, CPA, PIE, EnP is a Certified Public Accountant, Professional Industrial Engineer and a Licensed Environmental Planner.

 

He finished his Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of San Jose – Recoletos (USJ-R).  He graduated Magna Cum Laude from both courses.  He placed 19th in the CPA Board Examination.  He also earned his Master in Management, graduating as Most Outstanding Graduate and Bachelor of Laws at USJR.  He took up special studies at the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) and earned a Certificate in Business Economics, With Distinction.  He completed his post-graduate studies leading to the degree Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration (PhD-BA) at the University of San Carlos.

 

He was once connected with Sycip, Gorres, Velayo & Co., CPAs where he was exposed to auditing companies belonging to various industries.  He also used to be connected with Lear Automotive Philippines, Inc. (formerly United Technologies Automotive Philippines, Inc.) where he held the position of Plant Manager for nine (9) years giving him a solid background in Industrial Management.  He previously served as Materials Manager at Lear and as Production Control Manager, Accountant and Staff Auditor in other companies.

 

He used to be the President of Southwestern University.  He also served the University of San Jose – Recoletos in concurrent capacities as Comptroller, Director of the CPA Review Center and Graduate School Professor.

  

He is quite active in the professional organization of accountants having served the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountant (PICPA) – Cebu Chapter as one of its Past Presidents.  He was also a Past National Vice President for Public Practice of PICPA.  In the last PICPA Annual National Convention held in Bacolod City last week, he was a recipient of the Outstanding PICPA Member Award.

 

At present he is the Managing Partner of N. G. Quiñanola & Co., CPAs; and Managing Consultant of Quiñanola Consulting.

 

Currently, he is the Chairperson of the Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy.
